Last week I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding for Damon and Sari Fetty.  They are such a beautiful family and their love really showed in their faces.  It was hard to choose which photos to post.  There were so many sweet moments.

Last week I got to take photos of the adorable Kleinman family.  It was so fun to capture their personalities through the photos.  Such a sweet family!

9/11 and hope

On this day when we remember with heavy hearts the events that took place years ago, I wanted to post these photos that reminded me of hope.  Rick and I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take photos of this breathtaking sunrise at the Grand Canyon.  It was a beautiful reminder to me that there's always hope.  Sunrises do come.  God lives and loves us.

This week I planned to do a family photo session, but the weather didn't cooperate.  We had a ten minute window before the rain started pouring.  I managed to get some sweet shots of this adorable little guy.

 I have a confession to make.  In the last blog, I planned to write about how I had learned to move forward with things and not get bogged down in details.  The problem was that I spent over 45 minutes rewriting my paragraph and eventually tossed the whole thing out.  Guess I'm still working on that one.

It's not all bad though.  Attention to details is the difference between an okay photo and a photo rich with color and details.  So, although I usually don't like to show clients the "before" photos, I wanted to illustrate the difference it makes to focus on the details.

Website and Summer fun

For the longest time, I've wanted to create a website where I could share photos I've taken of friends and family.  So a few days ago, cathiefrostphotography.com became a reality.  It's been an awesome learning process for me and I'm excited to share my love of photography with others.

Summer Fun:
The start of school today signaled the end of summer for our family.  But before I get too caught up with school craziness,  I wanted to recapture in photos the wonderful summer we had.

Our big family trip was to Strawberry Reservoir, near Heber, Utah.  We rented a pontoon boat and stayed in the nearby lodge for a few days.  Everyone had a chance to fish, or at least hold a fishing rod.
